Week 12 tight ends

TE Notes: Mark Andrews made a successful return in Week 11. As the last pass catcher for the Ravens, he has an accessible spot with the Jags. … George Kittle pulled off a good matchup in Week 11. Now he has a poor Saints defense allowing for the second-lowest tight end fantasy points. He stays in the top 5 because the news isn’t much better for the players around him. … That starts with TJ Hockenson, who will face a Patriots defense that threatens to make life hell for Kirk Cousins. Hockenson is probably still a better bet than Kittle, but his Week 12 upside odds are extremely slim. … Dalton Schultz had his first down game since Dak Prescott returned to the lineup. It probably had as much to do with DAL/MIN being uncompetitive as anything else. That will remain a Thanksgiving gamble against the Giants.

Pat Freiermuth has commanded more than seven targets in four consecutive launches. Only problem is he hasn’t scored since week 2. That’s not likely to change with Kenny Pickett at the controls, but Freiermuth’s volume has him TE1 certified. … Whoever is below center for the Rams needs to give Tyler Higbee slight looks. … Dawson Knox is still not scoring, but he’s seeing enough volume on his elite offense to keep hopes of a spike week alive. It helps that the Lions concede the fourth most TE Fantasy points. … Greg Dulcich catches more than 4-5 more passes than not and also plays more than 80 percent of the Broncos’ snaps. Forced to target some really random wide receivers behind Courtland Sutton, Russell Wilson won’t take his eyes off his hem stretcher. … Speaking of snaps, Foster Moreau played 100 percent of them in week 11. He expects to stumble in more scores.

David Njoku played just 37 percent of the Browns’ snaps on his Week 11 return. The good news is that he avoided kickbacks with his ankle. The bad news is he pinched his knee. It’s unclear if fantasy managers can expect more game time than a Bucs defense spitting out the sixth most tight end fantasy points. … Cole Kmet was finally kept out of the end zone in Week 11. Justin Fields’ (shoulder) absence would knock him out of the top 12 against the Jets’ elite defense. … Just when it finally looked like we might be able to get away from fake tight end Taysom Hill, he got caught up in the Saints’ running game again. The Saints are desperate enough to cause offense that they should return to the Taysom Well. … Hayden Hurst is no longer a TE1 with Ja’Marr Chase (hip) deleted. … Juwan Johnson and Logan Thomas make some Spider-Man cues with their use. Johnson has a worse week 12 matchup but higher total area. … Cameron Brate hasn’t played much in his Week 10 return, but that could change following the Bucs’ departure. Brate’s presence takes Cade Otton out of the relevance of the redesign.
