Where to shop in Indianapolis

While Black Friday is routinely the busiest shopping day in the United States and people rush to their computers on Cyber Monday, there’s another shopping holiday this weekend.

Small Business Saturday takes place on November 26th this year, two days after Thanksgiving.

The tradition was started by American Express in 2010 and has been co-sponsored by the US Small Business Administration since 2011. She encourages Americans to support small and locally owned businesses to put money back into the local economy.

According to the US Small Business Administration, US consumers spent an estimated $23.3 billion shopping at small businesses and restaurants on Small Business Saturday in 2021.
