– Tickets for the World Athletics Championships available from December 12th –
As the end of the year approaches and we start thinking about buying gifts for family and friends, the organizers of the Budapest 23 World Athletics Championships wrapped up Christmas for thousands of fans in Hungary and around the world.
250 days before this much-anticipated event, on December 12, the Budapest Organizing Committee will offer 420,000 tickets for sale as part of a first-come, first-served online ticketing program that will allow fans around the world to take part in the Track and field superheroes compete to see world champions crowned.
With 50 percent of tickets priced under $33, fans can see the world’s fastest men and women compete in the 100m heats, and just $54 could secure a seat for the star-studded Secure evening sessions in which a number of finals in the various disciplines.
There will be highlights in every session as Ryan Crouser takes on Joe Kovacs in the shot put and Sydney McLaughlin prepares for an incredible double in the 400m and 400m hurdles.
There will be special offers and discounts for families and group bookings, making this a unique opportunity for fans to enjoy the event with those closest to them and premium tickets for those who want to get closest to the pitch.
Packages will also be available for those who want to follow their favorite athletes from heats to finals or their favorite disciplines like throws and jumps.
“There really will be something for everyone, from beginners to superfans. We will make Christmas gift buying easy with nine exciting days of action at our brand new purpose-built National Athletics Center,” said Adam Schmidt, Government Commissioner for the Budapest 23 World Athletics Championships.
“We will also host ticket-free street events as the great marathoners and racers stride through our beautiful capital, passing world-renowned landmarks and crossing the majestic Danube River.”
Each session of the World Athletics Championships in the Hungarian capital promises exciting and unforgettable moments. Multiple world champions will be crowned in each of the nine evening sessions and all five morning programs offer an exciting mix of events and athletes. In addition to the 14 stadium sessions, six street events will be held at the World Heritage site in central Budapest. The World Championships program was designed to maximize the number of opportunities to feature athletics superheroes on the track.
But the best gift of all is for the early risers who sign up, as they have the first selection of tickets before they go on sale. A special pre-sale window of three days has been created for those who like to get their Christmas presents early. From December 9th the registered oneswill have an exclusive ticket purchase window prior to general sales beginning December 12th.
